Lok Sabha polls in 7 phases from 19th April to 1st June : Result on 4 June
Chief election commissioner Rajiv Kumar announces the dates for the Lok Sabha polls, which will be held in 7 phases from 19th April to 1st June, in New Delhi while addressing the press conference on Saturday.
The Election Commission of India on Saturday announced that, on June 4 counting for all elections, including by-elections, assembly elections and the general elections. The current government's term is ending on June 16.

According to CEC Rajiv Kumar, there are 96.8 crore people are eligible to cast a vote in the upcoming polls at over 12 lakh polling stations.
